Silent Nightingale wrote:Dear CCP,
Eve Online is a game which is -¦ MMORPG, the main advantage of which is declared to be the chance of taking part in large-scale battles with thousands of ships fighting in one system. Not long ago there was a battle in HED-GP and lots of pilots have prepared their ships, looking forward to have much fun that day. That battle was supposed to be a culmination of a long war between the leading claim alliances. But instead of that they had to face terrible lags and infernal TD because of your inability to provide the stable functioning of your servers. Both sides GÇô those who killed and those who lost ships there are highly disappointed with what was going on and what they have got. It was not a fair battle - everything that happened there had nothing to do with game principles and mechanics, and it has no logical explanation.
Moreover, those pilots who had lost expensive ships in lags due to the technical problems on your side havenGÇÖt received any reimbursement and it is demonstration of your injustice and total negligence towards common players. You provided reimbursement in similar cases but now you provide us with nothing else but excuses, which is obviously not enough. We asked to fix lags, but you either did nothing or suggested some partial solution which didnGÇÖt fix the problem in general. We were patient and we used to put up with it, but it was the last straw that broke the camelGÇÖs back.
We are a group of people who cares for this game. A small group, but as soon as this message is posted on all eve-forums in all languages that we speak you will see how many people will be eager to join us. And we want you to start serious work on the technical problems you have now immediately. We want you to inform all the players about the changes and modifications that you are going to introduce in the nearest future to fix the lags and we need to know the time when it they will be embodied.
Besides we demand reimbursement for all the ships killed in that period of time as a result of the system failures. And we want you to provide pilots with new ships or isks if it happens again. If a ship was lost not because of a pilotGÇÖs mistake or poor pvp skill, but as a result of a technical problem on your side - it is your fault and you must recompense for it. We spent our time, isks and efforts in game to gain those ships in an honest and lawful way and no one will put up with the fact of losing them because of game defects.
If this message will have no effect on you and you ignore our words as you used to do before in 3 days we will do the following:
1)We will deactivate most of our accounts and stop buying plexes from the official site. Some of us have already got rid of their accounts and is just a beginning - there will be much more and soon. All secondary carebear or cyno accounts that are not really important for us to play the game will be frozen until the matter is settled. We will ask all our friends and accomplices to do the same.
2) We will take our ships to high-sec and send massive fleets to such systems as Amarr, Jita or Dodixie to share all the fascination of TD and lags with those pilots who do not take part in claim wars. We doubt it will make them feel happy and soon they will either leave the game or support our ideas.
3)We will ask talented people, who have played a lot and know this game well to write a number of surveys and to make a number of video clips in different languages showing what the liner side of the game GÇô the td, the lags, the technical imperfection of Eve Online and the proves of your unfair and careless attitude towards common players. These videos and surveys will be posted on every single game forum, under every your commercial to let the new players know what they will really get instead of fun that they see on your trailers. We will let them understand that for you all the players are not more than a source of income and if they face problems you will do nothing but apologize. Bad fame spreads quickly, but it will take years to get rid of it. And most people prefer to trust real gamers not trailers. If they see what really happens in multi-player battles, the GÇ£chess-shooterGÇ¥, the unjust victories covered by developers you can be sure they will give up the idea of playing Eve.
The number of new players will fall, a number of old pilots will leave and it will affect you income and make you pay attention to these problems. We will wait for 3 days to see your first steps and your willingness to start a constructive dialogue with the playersGÇÖ community. If you start work and make up for the unjust losses we are not going to escalate the conflict. But if not, you will leave us no choice and we canGÇÖt see any other way of drawing your attention. We have little to lose now, cause we have lost any interest to play this game.
Dear pilots
If you care for what happens, if you are fed up with the lags, show your solidarity by giving likes to the topic and adding your comments and proposals. If you are ready to help us in any way tell us what you can do. Let the developers see that it is not a couple of whinning pilots but the opinion of the majority. They wonGÇÖt be able to ignore it. We must do something to get what we deserve GÇô fun and fair play.
